The conference was devoted to Marxist humanist intellectual current in Czechoslovakia and in Poland. Sholars from the Czech Republic and Poland were analyzing questions as development of Marxist revisionism in Poland, relationship of Marxist humanism to modernity, development of political thought of Polish Left Opposition. At the same time, the conference shed light on personalities as Egon Bondy, Ivan Sviták or Adam Schaff.
